"The house went to market in late October. Not a big deal except it was the worst time to sell. Going into Thanksgiving Xmas and the new year most people are not interested in buying a home along with extremely high interest rates and rising. We had two buyers interested. The first one looked good the other not so good. We settled on the first buyer. After negotiating the buyer accepted. That being said the house was a probate sale. Meaning it had to be ok by the court it was accepted by the court on!2/15 But the paperwork did not go through until ten days later. The problem was it was going into foreclosure sale on 1/19/23. Finally closed 1/13/23. I am grateful to John Colbert the agent/broker for his expertise in not only negotiating the sale but in handling the buyer's agent and his ability to deal with escrow and my concerns."
